I bought this iron rod with very low expectations, and I’m delighted to report it has exceeded them by simply being… an iron rod.
Pros:
Is straight. Incredibly committed to straightness.
Heavy enough to remind you of your own mortality if dropped on a toe.
Does not bend, complain, beep, connect to Wi-Fi, or require an app.
Has a reassuring “I will still be here after civilisation collapses” vibe.
Cons:
Offers zero emotional support.
No instructions, which felt rude until I realised it needs none.
Not dishwasher safe (learned this the hard way; apologies to my dishwasher).
I’ve used it for leaning, pointing, dramatic gesturing, and briefly considering a career as a medieval gatekeeper. It performed flawlessly every time by continuing to be a rod, made of iron.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If you’re in the market for an object that refuses to be anything other than what it is, this iron rod is a triumph of honesty and integrity.

Item was received without grub screw. The design requires a longer grub screw. Despite emailing sales a number of times they could only send smaller grub screws and not the correct length. Rather than supply a replacement fitting with correct grub screw, they washed their hands saying they had none of the correct length grub screws in stock. I will look to buy fittings from other suppliers in the future.
The wheel is fitted and working well. The staff were very helpful when the carriers delivered the wheel to the wrong address, and sent out a replacement which arrived promptly. Service cannot get better than that!
I bought two of these to top driveway gates. They look really good.
They are a good value quality item.
I ordered 3. Two were wonderful. The third was came with the pole holes misaligned. Thankfully there was enough play so that it functioned. However I would have been beside myself had it not worked. Clearly a QA issue somewhere.
