Really impressed with the design and quality of this gate / door catcher.
As the photos show, I was using it to secure a door with a step up to it. This did necessitate me inserting a length of aluminium tube into the base post to secure in concrete. The sprung-loaded hook works very well at catching and firmly latching the door (which prior to fitting had swung violently against its hinges in wind). Releasing the door is also very simple: push the door to release some tension, before then pushing the hook down with very little effort required. In the context I used it the aesthetic stying and finish looks very very nice, and the quality of both finish and mechanical action appear to be good. Continues to inspire confidence after a week of daily use.
Customer really liked it, so much so that they want one fitted on their other gate too.
My only issue with it is that you have to have the bolt extended to be able to attach it. Which means you need the gate off the hinges. Not ideal when the gate is very heavy
I would thoroughly recommend this product as a durable hinge, which was dispatched quickly as per usual. DC Iron always delivers quality goods at affordable prices.

This stop can be drilled bolted or welded to any number of things to prevent a hard clash. I’m drilling and bolting to a heavy duty gravity Gate stop so once the gate has passed the neck it bumps against this
Brilliant bit of kit heavy duty and well made. I’ve actually bought the rubber stop and I’m going to drill this item down once the gate activates the stop it hits the rubber.
When companies describe these types of things, they usually embellish what they can hold up. However, these things, made from thick gauge steel & could hold up a truck. I opted for the extra heavy-duty ones. Still, I could have definitely gone a size smaller, even though I am making the gate out of my old floor joists & it's a large span. very impressed by the price

There are many companies from many countries providing keyclamps and the price is one consideration but the finish and consistency of specifications are more important when you have to oblige a customer of your own.
