Locinox UGC Aluminium Gate Catcher

I ordered on-line the Locinox UGC Aluminum Gate Catcher which was promptly dispatched and a tracking number provided. I wasn't in any particular hurry as I was waiting for the gates to be delivered from another vendor. After a couple of weeks I decided to check up deliveries for both products. The gate catcher was showing "still in transit" with no defined delivery date. I contacted DC Iron and explained the circumstances. Whilst I was not that particularly bothered and happy to wait longer, customer support at DC Iron suggested that they should send another one as the likelihood was that the package was lost. I was surprised but extremely grateful of the kind gesture. A couple of days later the replacement arrived. Great service, and thankyou very much.
PS. I get a daily tracking email for the original delivery and its still showing delayed.

Very versatile. Although it has a aluminium body it seems well capable for the job. We are using it on a heavy metal gate that is in constant use all day 7 days a week. Less than 5 minutes to install with postmix concrete. Very happy.

Really impressed with the design and quality of this gate / door catcher.
As the photos show, I was using it to secure a door with a step up to it. This did necessitate me inserting a length of aluminium tube into the base post to secure in concrete. The sprung-loaded hook works very well at catching and firmly latching the door (which prior to fitting had swung violently against its hinges in wind). Releasing the door is also very simple: push the door to release some tension, before then pushing the hook down with very little effort required. In the context I used it the aesthetic stying and finish looks very very nice, and the quality of both finish and mechanical action appear to be good. Continues to inspire confidence after a week of daily use.

Very efficient company to order from, the gate catcher is very good value for money and works perfectly on our new gate.
